Thai data center provider Unitrio Technology said it expects its business to grow by 30% over the next three years after receiving further backing from UK-based Aureos Southeast Asia Fund, which holds a 20% stake in the company.

Unitrio said it expects to make 1.1 billion baht developing its Green Data Center it said can reduce power consumption by up to 70% at full data center use and by carrying out after-sale services. Customers include electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, CAT Telecom, Thai Airways, Suvarnabhyumi Airport, Siam Commercial and Bankgok banks and the Krung Thai bank.

Unitrio said in an interview with the Bangkok Post that a number of companies are growing in Thailand, increasing the need for database security. This is expected to lead to data center growth in the region.
