Mauricio Giusti joined Actis in 2021 and brings extensive operating, consulting and investing experience within the Digital Infrastructure and Telecoms space – initially with McKinsey, then Telefonica and latterly as CEO of several Private Capital-backed Digital Infrastructure businesses.

As CEO and founder of Phoenix Fibre (neutral FTTH business, recently sold to FiBrasil), PTB (cellphone towers, acquired by Digital Colony), K-2 Towers (small cells, acquired by Blackstone) and BR Towers (cellphone towers, acquired by American Tower), he has built an exceptional track record of over delivering for the respective private capital sponsors.

John Hawkins is the IBM Global Data Center Strategy and Planning Lead. John brings over 20 years and $3B of leasing experience in the data center and commercial real estate fields. John is best known for his work at Telx, where he was the Director of Global Real Estate & Data Center Expansions. During his years at Telx, John expanded the data center portfolio over seven hundred percent and negotiated over $1B+ in leases, leading to the acquisition of Telx by Digital Realty for $1.9 billion. Prior to Telx, John was Vice President of Real Estate and Data Center Logistics at Exenet Technologies, where he was responsible for the complete ownership of a multi-country facility build-out.  Earlier in his career, John was Vice President of International Operations & Real Estate at The Matlen Silver Group, where he opened operations in India and Trinidad.  

John earned his Masters of Real Estate at New York University.

James Grice focuses his practice on general commercial real estate and M&A, primarily representing investors, developers, operators, and users in the data center and digital infrastructure realm. Jim has distinguished himself in the data center and renewable energy sector where he utilizes his intimate understanding of project finance and experience with tax incentives to help clients structure deals to their best advantage.

Jim regularly works with clients on standalone data center asset purchases and divestitures, including campus acquisitions, acquisition of sites to be redeveloped as data centers, and sale and leasebacks of data center assets.

Jim has significant experience in advising companies on the legal complexities associated with all aspects of data center operations, leasing, subleasing, co-location and related services. This includes experience advising on the related service level maintenance agreements and assisting with data privacy policies and various user agreements. He has advised developers, operators and investors on M&A, as well as on data center development projects, including land purchase and sale agreements, planning and environmental issues, power purchase arrangements and contracting for the design and construction of data centers. Jim is also a go-to-resource for data center tax issues, development incentives for data centers, and legislative issues associated with taxes on data center construction and operation.

Alessandro Lombardi is Chairman of the board and general manager of Elea Digital Data Centers, the Brazilian, geographically spread, edge data centers ecosystem. Alessandro, expert in sophisticated design and execution of large-scale investment projects, has dedicated his life to the digital transformation of the economy, and has founded Elea Digital Data Centers in 2018.

Elea Digital Data Centers have a total power capacity of 33MW, half of which is active and running. Its edge data center platform is in key Latin American metro areas such as Porto Alegre, Brasilia, Curitiba, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo. During the last years, Elea Digital Data Centers has shown a significant increase thanks to large retrofit and expansion projects, with particular focus on energy efficiency and sustainability.

Fernando Jaeger é Diretor Financeiro e de Novos Negócios na ODATA. Pedro Henrique Fragoso é Sócio do BTG Pactual e CEO da Tecto Data Centers, atuando em investimentos de Private Equity e Infraestrutura. Pedro Henrique também é membro do conselho de administração da V.tal, por onde supervisiona os investimentos em data center. A V.tal é uma empresa de infraestrutura digital gerida por um consórcio formado por BTG Pactual, GIC e CPPIB.

Antes de ingressar no BTG em 2012, trabalhou na área de Investment Banking do Goldman Sachs, onde esteve envolvido em diversas transações de M&A em diversos setores. Pedro Henrique é formado em Economia pela Bucknell University.
