Michael Stadler

Chief Technology Officer, Xendee

Michael is the recipient of the Presidential Science Award from the White House in 2016, and is a recognized global leader in Distributed Energy Resource (DER) integration analytics. Most recently at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Michael led both the Grid Integration and Microgrid research groups, where he managed an international team of over 40 researchers.

He was the lead developer of the Distributed Energy Resource Customer Adoption Model (DER-CAM) platform, which was recognized as one of the most advanced economic decision support tools ever created for locational economic optimization of Microgrids and hybrid distributed energy systems. Michael holds several U.S. and international patents in the areas of electrical power system design, optimization, and capacity assessment.

Michael has a Ph.D., with honors, in Energy Economics from the Vienna University of Technology in Austria.
