Currently, CEO of Namex Rome IXP, where he has been working since 1996. He was involved in the early development of the Rome IXP within Caspur, a high-performance computing (HPC) center, where he managed network and data center services. After Caspur merged with Cineca, becoming one of the world’s largest HPC centers, he continued in a similar role as Head of the Hosting BU before fully dedicating himself to Namex.
Over the years, he has contributed to the growth of Namex, supporting its transition from a small, university-driven initiative to one of Italy’s leading Internet exchange points. His work has focused on expanding interconnection opportunities, strengthening Namex’s role as a neutral hub for ISPs, content providers, and enterprises, and developing a robust ecosystem of data centers and colocation facilities. He has also played a role in the expansion of Namex’s infrastructure, improving resilience, supporting low-latency connectivity, and meeting the growing demand for interconnection services.
He has been involved in discussions on Internet governance and interconnection policies, contributing to the broader development of the Italian and European Internet ecosystem.
Furthermore, he has been recognized by the European Union as an expert in Internet and telecommunications.
