Charlie Sellars

Director of Sustainability, Microsoft

Charlie Sellars currently serves as Director of Sustainability for Microsoft’s Cloud Operations and Innovation group. In his role, he is responsible for ensuring Microsoft’s data center operations are aligned to achieve the company’s moonshot sustainability goals to become carbon negative, water positive, zero waste, and protect ecosystems by 2030.

Charlie has also served as Director of Sustainability for Microsoft’s windows and devices business, where he was responsible for building and leading an end-to-end sustainability program across design, engineering, supply chain, software, and marketing. His program helped enable Microsoft’s newest generation CoPilot Surface PCs to be the most sustainable the company has made to date.

Prior to Microsoft, Charlie came from Gartner, an S&P 500 research and technology advisory firm, where he primarily served as an Analyst for Chief Information Officers and as a Program Director for Chief Supply Chain Officer communities.
