Xantaro Group has announced Christian Werner as the company's CEO.
He replaces Martin Czermin, who moves into the role of executive chairman at the German company.
Xantaro specializes in technology, software, and services for carriers, ISPs, hosting and cloud providers, plus data center operators.
Werner joins the company from digit solutions GmbH, where he was managing director. He previously spent eight years as CEO of Logicalis Group DACH, which included overseeing Orange Networks GmbH.
He also held leadership positions at Oracle, Sun Microsystems, and Siemens.
"This handover is something we've carefully prepared for, and it marks the start of the next phase in our company's development," said Czermin. "With Christian Werner, I am handing over the reins to a true industry professional. He not only brings a deep understanding of the IT market but has also shown time and again that he knows how to grow organizations and build lasting success. For our customers, partners, and our entire team, this is a strong signal that Xantaro is well prepared for the future."
Werner added: "My priority is to build on Martin's successful work and make sure our customers can continue to rely on us. On this solid foundation, and together with our excellent team, we will continue to systematically expand the Xantaro Group's growth platforms."
In the UK, the group has previously supported Cornish-based ISP Wildanet's gigabit-enabled full fiber network rollout. As part of that project, Xantaro supplied its cabinet and exchange solutions for the rollout.
Xantaro is currently working with more than 40 UK altnets.
