Today, Intuitive Machines plans to land a 15-foot tall spacecraft on the lunar surface.

The Athena spacecraft will carry, among other payloads, storage, and compute for Lonestar Data, which it believes is the first data center on the Moon.

The Athena lander also includes a deployment from Nokia to test 4G/LTE communications on the lunar surface.

The landing attempt comes just a few days after Firefly Aerospace successfully touched down on the Moon, and a year after Intuitive Machines' last effort managed to land - but fell over after it broke a leg.

Intuitive Machines is livestreaming the landing from 16:30 UTC, with the landing expected at 17:32 UTC. That broadcast is viewable below, while a separate livestream from NASA is viewable at this link.

Update: The lander has landed on the surface of the Moon, but Intuitive is still trying to work out what condition it is in.
