The Liquid Cooling Services portfolio will integrate liquid cooling systems with IT equipment and adjacent infrastructure, including installation, commission, and ongoing maintenance.

The services portfolio is now globally available.

The offering comes in light of increasing rack density, with 30kW racks now becoming the standard, said Vertiv.

The company said the offering will “provide customers with the tools to enhance system availability, improve efficiency, and navigate the evolving challenges of advanced liquid cooling systems.”

Vertiv will also ensure access to spare parts and repairs, end-to-end lifecycle support, fluid management services, and emergency response support to diagnose and resolve issues.

“High-performance computing (HPC) and AI are critical to business innovation and competitive advantage, making reliability and efficiency in supporting critical digital infrastructure more important than ever," said Ryan Jarvis, vice president of global services business at Vertiv. "As organizations continue to invest in AI-driven systems, they need robust liquid cooling solutions to protect their investment and to enable long-term performance."

The services portfolio is supported by the Vertiv Global Services network, offering project services, product support, testing, and training for Vertiv products. The company currently has more than 240 service centers, some 3,500 field engineers, and said it offers support across diverse regions.

Trane Technologies launches liquid cooling for data centers

In other cooling news, Trane Technologies has expanded its offerings to include liquid cooling thermal management systems for mission-critical applications.

The HVAC specialist has added to its data center thermal management systems with its Trane 1MW Coolant Distribution Unit.

With up to 1,350kWs, the company said its solution is suited to data centers looking to implement direct-to-chip solutions as they shift to hybrid cooling. The solution leverages Trane’s LiquidStack technology.

“We’re excited to extend our thermal management systems offerings, testing, modeling, and service leadership to include liquid cooling for our mission-critical customers,” said Steve Obstein, vice president and general manager of data centers & high-tech at Trane Technologies. “We are redefining thermal management systems and optimization to deliver consistent and reliable thermal management tailored for mission-critical environments.”

The solution has been designed to handle high-performance workloads, whilst significantly reducing energy consumption, according to the company.

Founded more than 100 years ago, Irish-American firm Trane has historically focused on HVAC solutions for commercial facilities. The company’s offerings have since expanded to meet the needs of data centers and mission-critical operations.
