Critical services of British bank Barclays have gone down in a multi-day outage.
At peak, online banking was down, along with the app, as well as payments in and out of accounts. In person branches are also impacted.
The outage occurred on what is normally payday for people in the UK and the final deadline for self-assessment tax returns.
"We're sorry if you're having issues with some of our services at the moment," Barclays told customers. "You may have trouble using some features in our app, Online Banking as well as payments in and out of your accounts - we're also unable to help you over the telephone or our Message us service."
It warned customers that if they had made a payment for something, it would go through, and that they should not make the payment again.
The company has yet to provide a reason for the critical outage.
Barclays primarily uses HPE GreenLake for a global private cloud platform. The companies partnered in 2021, and further deepened the relationship last year.
