Orange Tunisia, Ooredoo Tunisia, and Tunisie Telecom launched their respective 5G networks last week.
The launch of 5G services is in line with expectations, after the country's government said the technology would be launched by mid-February.
All three telcos only obtained their 5G licenses less than three months ago.
The operators each received 5MHz of Time Division Duplex (TDD) spectrum in the 700MHz band and 100MHz (TDD) in the 3.5GHz band at the country's spectrum auction.
"5G is more than just a network upgrade. We see it as a foundation for the future. With ultra-fast speeds, lower latency, and greater capacity, 5G will accelerate Tunisia's digital economy, support startups, and enable transformative applications across industries," said Ooredoo Tunisia CEO Mansoor Rashid Al-Khater.
Orange Tunisia and Ooredoo Tunisia both touted the potential of Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) during their respective launches, with Orange launching 5G mobile services along with an FWA router.
As part of its 5G entrance, Ooredoo labelled its FWA 5G offering, "Fixe Jdid 5G," aimed specifically for homes and offices, claiming data speeds of up to 100Mbps.
Tunisie Telecom, meanwhile, said its extensive fiber deployment will support its 5G network. The carrier separately signed a strategic agreement with the Medusa subsea cable system last week, which covers the supply and operation of a dedicated fiber optic link between Bizerte in Northern Tunisia and Marseille in France, with a capacity of 20Tbps.
