A tower technician fell to their death last week while working on a tower in Louisiana.
As first reported by Wireless Estimator, Dalton Ray Teater, 27, lost his life on February 17 after falling from a 349-foot guyed tower in Cotton Valley, Louisiana.
It's reported that Teater, who worked for Texas-based RB Telecom Services, was at approximately 220 feet when he fell. Details about the incident are not yet known.
An investigation into his death has been launched.
Wireless Estimator reports that the tower is owned by Verizon, but is likely being managed by American Tower Corporation.
Sources told the website that RB Telecom Services was conducting a T-Mobile installation on the tower.
RB Telecom Services is a subcontractor for EasTex Tower, and has a branch office in Louisiana, notes Wireless Estimator. EasTex is one of three companies operating under Ontivity, a network infrastructure services provider.
