APAC operator STTGDC is to host an Indian neocloud at one of its facilities in Uttar Pradesh.
STTGDC India this week announced that Neysa is to deploy AI compute infrastructure at STT Noida 2. The deployment will host GPUs for Neysa's Velocis AI cloud platform.
Built for training and inference, the first phase of the deployment is designed to support up to 9,000 GPUs and is expected to go live around Q1 2027.
“The collaboration marks the first phase of a multi-year working relationship between STTGDC India and Neysa, reflecting growing demand for resilient, scalable infrastructure to support increasingly complex, compute-intensive workloads,” STTGDC said.
“India’s AI ambitions will depend not only on access to compute, but on the digital infrastructure required to support increasingly complex and compute-intensive workloads at scale. We are proud to work with Neysa and its co-founder and CEO, Sharad Sanghi, whose work in building one of India’s earliest Internet data center companies helped shape the country’s data center industry,” said Bimal Khandelwal, CEO India, STTGDC. “By bringing together Neysa’s specialized AI capabilities and STTGDC’s infrastructure expertise, this deployment will help enterprises move from experimentation to real-world applications. It also represents the kind of ecosystem collaboration needed to accelerate AI adoption and strengthen India’s position in the global digital economy.”
STTGDC first announced plans to develop in Noida back in 2021. Noida 2 offers 22MW. Noida 1 offers 17MW, with Noida 3 under development and set to offer 28MW.
Neysa was founded in 2023, pitching itself as a sovereign cloud player for India. The company has secured backing from Blackstone, as well as Teachers' Venture Growth, TVS Capital, 360 ONE, and Nexus.
Sharad Sanghi, CEO, Neysa, added: "We are building Neysa for the long term, to serve businesses in India and global compute customers looking to add India to their infrastructure footprint. Our customers need more than access to GPUs. They need capacity they can plan around, reliable operations, and room to scale as their workloads evolve. That is why we plan the compute, platform, and data center infrastructure together. Our planned deployment at STTGDC’s Noida data center is one part of that approach, bringing GPU infrastructure and Velocis, our AI Cloud platform, together to support AI workloads in production."
In April 2025, the company revealed it was teaming up with NTT Data and the Telangana government to establish a 400MW GPU cluster in the country. Totaling 25,000 GPUs.
Investment firm KKR and Singaporean telecoms operator Singtel fully acquired STT GDC in February from ST Telemedia. The company has since been rebranded to STTGDC.
STTGDC’s India division has more than 400MW of critical IT load in operation and development across 30 facilities in ten cities across the country.
