Schroff announced cable management products for high cable density installations.

The 2-post and 4-post open patching frames and associated horizontal and vertical cable management products are made by Schroff’s sister company Hoffman.

Branded Cabletek the products the frames are free-standing aluminum with the 2-post frame rated to support a static load of up to 450kg, the 4-post up to 1,130 kg. Heights are 45U, 51U and 58U, 150, 250 and 305mm widths and single- and double-sided models, the vertical cable manager mounts on the sides of, or between the verticals in 2- and 4-post open frame racks.

The front of the manager provides support, management and high capacity for patch cords, while the rear section supports Cat 5e, 6, 6A and fiber optic cables.

According to Schroff’s numbers capacity at 60 percent fill is more than 1900 Cat 5e cables at the front and over a 1000 at the rear in a 300mm wide unit. The cable managers are 1U and 2U horizontal cable managers, available as single-sided units in both heights with depths of 150mm, or as 2U double sided versions with 150mm fingers at the front and 230mm ones to the rear. A single sided unit will manage 66 Cat 5e cables in a 1U version, 208 in a 2U;the double sided ones will take a further 223 Cat 5e cables in the rear section.
