Cloud data center provider ResetData has announced a joint venture (JV) with Centuria Capital Group to launch Australia’s first public AI Factory (AI-F1) and AI marketplace.
In a statement, Centuria said the launches would enable companies of all sizes to access artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and large language models (LLMs), significantly increasing the competitive landscape for Australian business and government.
ResetData also announced its status as a member of the Nvidia Cloud Partner program. Consequently, the AI-F1 supercomputer will be powered by Nvidia H200 GPUs, cooled by ResetData’s liquid cooling technology, while the AI marketplace will offer Nvidia-certified AI models that can be deployed on demand.
Located in Melbourne’s Central Business District (CBD), AI-F1 is expected to be operational in Q2 2025. The initial 1.25MW AI-F1 facility is “the first of many AI factories,” the companies said, with further rollouts expected to “accelerate AI adoption and economic growth in Australia.”
ResetData said businesses will benefit from the AI factory by having instant access to enterprise-grade AI capabilities without having to make a capital investment, resulting in a 40 percent reduction in computing costs. It added that companies will also see a reduction in emissions by 45 percent, with zero wastewater, as a result of ResetData’s liquid immersion cooling technology.
Centuria joint CEOs John McBain and Jason Huljich said: “The launch of AI-F1, together with the announcement of Nvidia and Dell’s prestigious partnership statuses, enables ResetData to deliver unprecedented access to new AI capabilities.
“Australia’s first AI Factory, coupled with the AI marketplace, levels the playing field for businesses and government to access technology that was previously limited to a small number of private GPU clusters at a significantly high cost. We anticipate further rollouts of the AI Factories to accelerate domestic AI adoption and foster further economic and technological growth in Australia.”
Bass Salah, joint CEO of ResetData, added: "Our AI Factories will transform the competitive landscape for Australian businesses. Access to this technology was previously limited to a small number of private GPU clusters. Our AI Factory rollout opens up access to artificial intelligence to accelerate Australia’s economic growth.”
Australasian real estate fund manager Centuria acquired a 50 percent stake in ResetData in August 2024, in a deal worth up to $21 million.
As part of the transaction, ResetData entered into a ten-year lease for up to 1.5MW of capacity in the Centuria-managed 818 Bourke Street located in Melbourne, where the AI-F1 supercomputer will now be housed.
