Nigerian data center firm Rack Centre has launched its second data center in Lagos.
The company last week saw the official commissioning of its LGS2 facility.
Ground was broken on the facility, located in the Ikeja area of Lagos, in April 2023. The data center offers 12MW across six data halls and 3,240 sqm (34,875 sq ft) of white space. It features four meet-me rooms.
Rack Center was founded in 2012 by Nigerian conglomerate Jagal and partly-acquired by Actis in 2020.
Its LGS1 facility has an IT load of 1.5MW over 1,095 sqm (11,785 sq ft) following expansion in 2021.
Other data center operators in Lagos include Equinix, Digital Realty, Nxtra, OADC, and ADC.
