Investment firm Overwatch Capital has acquired a data center site in Plano, Texas.

The company this week announced the acquisition of a 150,000-square-foot (13,935 sqm) data center facility located in Legacy West in Plano, Texas. Terms were not shared.

Renamed Resilience DFW, the 30MW facility will serve as a high-density data center powered by a microgrid. Overwatch said the site has the flexibility to expand to 50MW in the future.

Construction and infrastructure upgrades are expected to commence immediately, with initial operations projected to begin in Q4 2026.

Further details weren’t shared, but the site seems to match TMGcore’s site at 6815 Communications Parkway. The facility was likely developed by Skybox as part of its Legacy Campus – a brochure suggests the facility offers up to 50MW across 150,000 sq ft.

Immersion cooling firm TMGcore was acquired by Modine in early 2024, rolling the company into its Airedale chiller business.

DCD has reached out to Overwatch, Skybox, and Modine for more information.

Skybox told DCD it sold that building in 2018 to an end-user, and was not involved in the latest sale. Local reports suggested real Estate investor Pinchal & Co. bought the data center as an investor in TMGcore, the only tenant in the facility.

Texas-based Overwatch Capital is an investment platform focused on the development and operation of ‘sustainable’ digital infrastructure. Founded in 2022, the company aims to integrate clean energy solutions, including battery energy storage and carbon capture, into data center operations.

On its site, Overwatch said it is investing in facilities developed by ReHUB USA, a Georgia-based firm looking to develop “self-sustaining” data centers.

Earlier this week, Overwatch partnered with Nautilus to roll out the latter’s EcoCore cooling technology at its sites.
