OData has deployed liquid cooling technology, developed by parent firm Aligned Data Centers, at two of its facilities in Brazil and Mexico.

It is installing the proprietary DeltaFlow system, which has been designed by Aligned in conjunction with power and cooling vendor Munters, at its SP04 data center in Brazil and the QR03 facility in Mexico.

The project will cost $630 million across the two sites, and phase one installation and testing is already underway at both facilities.

OData already runs Align’s air cooling system, Delta Cubed, in the data centers, and DataFlow will enable the facilities to support a hybrid air and liquid cooling system, catering for high-density AI racks.

DeltaFlow is manufactured at Munters' factory Araucaria, located in Paraná state, Brazil.

Founded in 2015 by Brazilian private equity firm Patria Investments, OData was acquired by Aligned Data Centers in May 2023. The company has operational facilities across Latin America, including Chile, Colombia, Brazil, and Mexico, with more in development.
