Telco M1 Limited, (previously known as MobileOne) a full-service telecommunications company based in Singapore, has just opened a new five-storey data center in Jurong which is alleged to triple its compute power.

M1 is partnering with Hitachi Data Systems, Alcatel-Lucent and Samsung to provide services through this data center. The new facility expands M1's capacity to approximately 900 server racks. Currently, its data center uses one floor at the Creative Resource building in Jurong East.

M1 director for product development and enterprises services Willis Sim told The Straits Times: “We want to give our customers more reason to do business with us. So we're offering this suite of infrastructure and cloud services."

The services offer clients "the opportunity to outsource resource-intensive data center operations cost-effectively", he said.
