Connectivity provider Level 3 has expanded its network reach into Global Datacenter Trust's Phoenix NAP data center currently under construction in Phoenix, Ariz. Phoenix NAP announced that the provider has completed building a new fiber route into the facility Tuesday.
At its new point of presence, Level 3 will provide high-speed IP services and other various transport and transit services. The company will offer private line, wavelength, Ethernet private line and a variety of VPN connectivity solutions.
The meet-me room that will host Level 3 equipment is currently being built at the data center and all services are expected to be available once it is completed in December. Phoenix NAP is a 160,000-square-foot building, housing a data center that will provide power densities of about 200 watts per square foot.
GDT broke ground on the project in June, originally targeting first quarter of 2010 for bringing the new facility online.
