Lennox has launched a new series of data center cooling solutions dubbed CRAH ApX.
The CRAH (computer room air handler) ApX offerings are designed for large-scale data centers with high-temperature process water.
Recently announced by the company, the range has a cooling capacity between 20 and 500kW, comes with "flexible coil configurations and fan pairings," and is available in single and back-to-back configurations.
Writing on LinkedIn last month, Lennox EMEA's data center CEO Matt Evans said: "It's hard to put into words how proud I am to be able to see our first new product released to the market. This launch is a huge milestone for us and is the first of quite a few that are going to come in quick succession ... I'm genuinely excited about how the ApX CRAH will be received by the market, and we're looking forward to engaging conversations around how we can support your specific cooling requirements and enhance your supply chain."
According to the CRAH ApX product brochure, the range is available in a total of 24 unit sizes. The range comes in standard and extended height varieties, as well as extended depth options, and each unit's width is available between 100cm and 350cm.
With EC fans, it claims to deliver "powerful and reliable operation with exceptional efficiency."
Lennox is an air conditioning and heating firm that expanded into the data center sector with a standalone business in late 2024. The company said at the time that some of its data center products would be adapted from its existing portfolio, whilst others would be designed from the ground up.
Lennox is now expected to offer close control units, computer room air handler units, fan wall units, cooling distribution units, chillers, and dry coolers.
The company, which is based in France, has been providing commercial and residential cooling solutions for more than sixty years. It was originally founded in 1895 as a furnace business. In 2023, Lennox sold its European HVAC and refrigeration business to Syntagma.
