C7 Data Centers (C7) said it is launching Granite Point II - its new 95,000 foot data center complex in Bluffdale, Utah, in October.
It follows the launch of its 65,000 sq ft Granite Point data center in Utah in June this year.
C7 said Granite Point II is the most advanced Tier III data center the company has built to date, and it claims that with a planned Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.2, it is one of the most advanced and efficient data centers in the country.
C7 has multiple data centers in Utah with local, national and international clients its facilities for colocation, disaster recovery, cloud and storage solutions.
Wes Swenson, CEO of C7, said the data center at the foot of the Wasatch Mountains has been designed to make use of the latest technologies to overcome challenges such as disaster risk, latency and power and cooling.
He said the company has been designing Granite Point II for the last two years and construction began in February 2013.
The site is designed for 10MW of power and will use ambient air from the Utah climate for cooling as well as cold-air containment and actuated cooling to variable server heat loads.
It also offers space for dense power deployments with monitoring at every level of the infrastructure.
It will service customers with needs ranging from one rack to thousands of square feet, with options for expandable layouts.
C7 currently operates four data center with more than 127,000 sq ft of floor space
