“Companies and organizations in Switzerland and across Europe are looking for sovereign alternatives in the cloud and in AI, and we have been building one in Switzerland for more than 30 years,” said the firm’s chief executive, Marc Oehler. “Access to the capital markets would allow us to accelerate: more data center capacity, more research and development, more talent, and a stronger presence in Europe. We approach this listing with a long-term perspective and look forward to welcoming shareholders who share this vision and ambition.”

Founded in 1994, Infomaniak employs 340 people in Switzerland and serves more than 300,000 clients across Europe, according to Watson.ch. For most of its existence, it grew without the help of any external investors, reports blue News, only announcing plans to go public in August. In 2025, Infomaniak generated CHF 54.2 million ($65m) in revenue.

Though the firm will now be able to raise additional funds from capital markets via the sale of B-shares, control of the firm will remain with the governing Infomaniak Foundation, which holds all unlisted A-shares that confer 63.3 percent of voting rights. In a statement, the firm said that this arrangement will guarantee that Infomaniak will not drift from its commitment to sustainability, independence, and its core Swiss customer base.

Infomaniak currently operates three data centers, according to DataCenterMap, with another planned to open in 2028. Its newest facility is located in the basement of a residential complex in Plan-les-Ouates, a municipality at the periphery of the western city of Geneva. 1.7MW of waste heat from the site’s 10,000 servers is siphoned into the city’s district heating network, helping warm up to 6,000 homes in the local area.
