Information Systems Associates has developed an interface for data center infrastructure management (DCIM) systems that enable information sharing between its system and the system of its partner Asset VUE.
The ISA data collection and IT asset management system shows data center managers what equipment and power infrastructure they have installed and where it is located. ISA announced earlier this year that it planned to sign an agreement covering additional areas of cooperation with tighter interfaces between its OSPI solution and the Asset VUE Solution Suite encompassing the RFID-enabled Asset VUE Inventory and Asset SECURE products.
Joe Coschera, ISA's founder and CEO said, “This additional interface from ISA is another important 'building block' in our product strategy to bring efficient and accurate information to our clients for their DCIM implementations. We are using our professional services experience within data centers to provide new software offerings that significantly enhance our client's efficiency in managing their DCIM roll outs.”
ISA has been working with Asset VUE since 2011.
The integration provides a data collection tool set for initial implementation of the Asset VUE solution. It also extends features and functionality of OSPI to Asset VUE users, which provides them with more detailed dat on devices, power infrastructure and connectivity.
OSPI users get expanded functionality of web-based data access and reports, as well as RFID auditing and tracking.
Sean Cotter, Asset VUE president, said, “We have already concluded some successful joint projects with ISA's professional services team and expect that both companies will be engaged on further major implementations in the near future.”
