Both companies have been part of the Baltic Rezo group, owned by Swiss Quaero European Infrastructure Fund II and managed by Quaero Capital since 2020. The legal entities will stay the same.

Andris Gailitis, who was already CEO for both companies, will lead the new brand, and said the new set-up will involve "closer cooperation between companies and an expanded services portfolio to meet IT challenges of our customers from over 40 countries."

Gailitis added: "The heart of the new brand is customers and personal approach to their business. Our strength lies in custom solutions for specific business and industry needs."

Established in 1999, DEAC owns one 2.3MW data center and a 0.4MW site in Riga, while a third facility in Vilnius has 4MW of capacity with an additional 400 racks under construction. Quaero acquired DEAC in 2020.

Founded in 2015, Duomenų Logistikos Centras (aka Data Logistics Center) operates six facilities across Lithuania – two in the capital Vilnius – as well as a 2,000-kilometer fiber network. DLC was previously owned by Ignitis Group; the firm was set to sell DLC to Telia Lietuva in 2018, but the deal fell through. Quaero then acquired DLC in 2020.

DEAC is developing a 10MW data center in Riga, Latvia. Announced in May 2022, the site was due to launch in Q4 2024 but has been pushed back to next year. The site will offer capacity for 1,000 racks at densities up to 100kW, and is reportedly expandable to 50MW.

Another data center is also planned in Lithuania, though details weren’t shared.

Gailitis has been CEO of DEAC since 2005, having joined the company as CTO in 1999. He became CEO of DLC in 2022, taking over from Darius Zailskas after his five years at the helm.
