Ericsson's head of networks Fredrik Jejdling will step down from his role next month.
Jejdling's upcoming departure was announced yesterday as part of an executive reshuffle at the company.
The vendor confirmed that Jejdling will step down from his position on March 15, 2025.
Jejdling has been at Ericsson since 2006 and has been a member of the company's executive team since 2017. He will remain as an executive advisor to the business until June 30, 2025.
He will be replaced by Per Narvinger, who has headed up cloud software and services at Ericsson since 2022. Narvinger, who has been with the company since 1997, has been appointed executive vice president and head of Ericsson’s networks business.
“Fredrik has been a valued member of the executive team for almost eight years and has led the success of our networks business and thereby contributed to the turn-around of Ericsson in 2017," said Börje Ekholm, CEO of Ericsson.
"He has contributed to Ericsson’s position with the industry’s leading programmable networks that allow for differentiated connectivity, which will open up new use-cases and increased network monetization and ultimately allow our customers to increase their investments in network infrastructure."
Replacing Narvinger in his current role will be Jenny Lindqvist, who currently leads Ericsson’s Europe and Latin America business.
Lindqvist has held a variety of leadership positions at Ericsson, joining the company in 2010 and becoming part of its executive team in 2023.
As part of the rejig, Ericsson noted that it has created two new market areas. The vendor is consolidating its Europe & Latin America, North America, and Middle East & Africa sections into two divisions.
“We are constantly looking for ways to improve customer experience and efficiencies," Ekholm said. "By combining three market areas into two, we see opportunities for efficiencies while maintaining the customer focus."
Yossi Cohen will head the company's new Americas market area, while Patrick Johansson will lead its Europe, Middle East & Africa market area.
