Nebraska-based Edge firm Sequitor Edge has launched a data center regional operating company.
Named Sequitor Heartland, the regional arm launched on February 1, and marks the start of the firm’s growth plan across 12 states to meet the increasing demands of AI and Edge computing.
Sequitor Heartland is planning a data center in central Nebraska and will also operate across Colorado, Iowa, and Kansas.
Further details haven't been shared. DCD has reached out for more information.
“Demand for lightning-fast, secure data management is increasing exponentially in agriculture, medicine, and education, among other economic sectors, so having Edge data centers closer to users isn’t optional; it’s essential. These smaller, multi-tenant facilities will allow markets like ours to flourish as technology and AI drive explosive growth,” said Ron Tillery, executive director of Phelps County Development Corporation in Nebraska.
Daniel Fuhrman, CEO, added: “Our operations in Nebraska are just the beginning. This launch highlights our commitment to empowering businesses with highly customized, local cutting-edge digital infrastructure and services.”
The company’s other regional operating companies include Sequitor Great Plains and Sequitor Great Lakes; with the former operating in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota, and the latter in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Indiana. Sequitor Edge plans on developing and operating 18 Edge data centers within the next three years across these three regional arms.
Sequitor Edge was founded in 2024 by Daniel Fuhrman and Randy Mortensen.
Fuhrman is also the founder of Prime Management Services and Prime Capital Partners. He previously worked at WarrCloud, Geometric Results, and Codeworks.
