Dubbed the SmartHub Fujairah, the campus offers 22,000 sq ft (2,044 sqm) of white space, with the expansion bringing total capacity to 4MW.

Other specifications of the expansion are not known.

The campus serves as a central hub to the cable landing station for several cables arriving in the city, including SeaMeWe-4 and AAE-1.

The company said the expansion will create space for two more subsea cables.

SmartHub Fujairah offers direct connectivity to e&'s SmartHub campus in Kalba, which was launched in 2022.

“Our data centers make it easier for customers and partners to connect, collaborate, and extract meaningful insights from their data. The expansion of the Fujairah campus adds critical capacity and strengthens connectivity, providing businesses with the flexibility to scale, adapt, and operate securely. This is about offering reliable, cost-effective solutions that enable organizations to grow and stay competitive in a landscape that demands agility and innovation,” said Nabil Baccouche, group chief carrier and wholesale officer at e&.

The SmartHub campus was first established in 2011 to serve carriers, hyperscalers, content delivery networks, and Internet service providers.
