Edge data center firm Duos has secured a cloud provider as a customer.

Nasdaq-listed Duos Technologies Group this week announced the signing of a new ten-year colocation agreement for 20MW of facility load with an unnamed “mature publicly traded cloud services provider” in the US.

The agreement represents more than $400 million of total contract value over the initial term and is expected to be deployed in Q2 2027 within Duos’ “expanding portfolio of Edge AI campuses.”

Duos also said it is in “active negotiations” on approximately 100MW of additional powered, data center-zoned land to expand its Duos Edge AI platform.

The company said it is also currently under contract and in active negotiations to secure approximately 100W of additional powered and data center-zoned land across multiple sites in the United States. Approximately 25MW of that is currently under contract across multiple sites in the US, and the company is in active negotiations on an additional 7MW. All site agreements could be finalized by year-end.

Duos CEO Doug Recker said the deal and expansion represented “another significant step in executing our long-term growth strategy.

He said: “These developments reflect the increasing demand we are seeing from customers seeking scalable, power-dense infrastructure that can be deployed quickly and efficiently. Our modular architecture, contract-first approach, and ability to identify attractive expansion opportunities continue to differentiate Duos in the marketplace. As AI, cloud, content delivery, and enterprise computing requirements grow, we believe we are well positioned to quickly expand our customer base and increase contracted revenue.”

Florida-based Duos, which previously developed rail-focused technology offerings, pivoted into data centers in 2024.

The company has also installed several Edge pods in rural locations across Texas, as well as sites in Illinois and Florida. Its pods total 15 racks and 300kW per container, and Duos Edge says that they can be deployed in as little as 90 days. The firm is also targeting a higher-density container offering 1-2.5MW.

The most recent presentation from the company said it aimed to have some 65 pods and 20MW of capacity deployed by the end of 2026, and 250 pods totaling 60MW of capacity by 2028.

The firm has previously secured an unnamed “investment-grade hyperscaler” as a customer for 10MW of capacity, and neocloud NiStar for 2MW in Columbus, Georgia.

Axe Compute recently acquired an AI infrastructure cluster in Columbus from Duos, alongside the latter’s firm’s GPU-as-a-service entity, as part of Duos' pivot to focus purely on colocation. Duos is separately set to provide Axe with multi-location capacity across the US totaling 55MW.

As a result of the sale, Duos said it was now directing its capital exclusively to developing and operating 10-30MW modular colocation sites across the US.

Duos adds bricks and mortar to container offering

The Columbus site is described as a "bricks and mortar" facility located at 8 Corporate Ridge Parkway and able to offer up to 20MW.

Previously operated by JMF Solutions as its DLI One facility (and by financial technology firm TSYS before that), Duos acquired the site in June.

Duos said over the summer that it would host more than 2,300 Nvidia B300 GPUs that would be operated by Hydra Host for a third-party client. It's unclear if Hydra Host is still involved after the Axe Compute acquisition.

The TSYS data center was built in 1997, with the company reportedly exiting the site after it merged with Global Payments in 2019.
