The company this week announced the topping out of ICN11, its newest data center development in South Korea.

The facility is due to be operational by the second half of 2027.

“The topping out isn't just a construction milestone; it's a powerful symbol of what happens when incredible teams come together to build something bigger than any one of us could achieve alone,” the company said.

Plans for ICN11 (aka Digital Seoul 2) were first announced back in 2021, buying a land parcel in Gurae-dong, Gimpo City, in northwest Seoul. The 64MW facility is set to span almost 1 million sq ft (92,903 sqm). It was originally due to come online by the first half of 2023.

Digital currently operates its ICN10 (aka Digital Seoul 1) facility in Seoul. Announced in 2019 and live in 2022, the ten-story facility offers up to 12MW of IT capacity across 132,000 sq ft (12,265 sqm) of floorspace.

Digital is working with DPR Construction, DL E&C Co., Turner & Townsend, and Heerim Architects & Planners on the project.
