The DC3 facility, located in the Gachibowli district of Telangana state, offers 13MW of IT load across 130,000 sq ft (12,080 sqm).

CtrlS said it has invested more than Rs 500 crore ($60m) into the build of DC3, which has a capacity of approximately 1,300 racks over six stories.

The facility has been launched just over a month after being announced, with the company initially predicting a three-month build-out.

The company said its facility is AI-ready, features advanced cooling technologies, and is designed to comply with seismic zone 2 standards.

DC3 also has access to cloud connect services from Google, Oracle, AWS, and Azure. The company is also the only Google Cloud Partner Interconnect provider in Hyderabad.

Sridhar Pinnapureddy, founder and CEO at CtrlS, said: “Hyderabad is one of the major data center hubs in the country, with a growing demand from enterprises, and cloud service providers. The city is one of the most preferred locations for hosting disaster recovery services, owing to its seismic zone 2 status. Our new facility will further strengthen the city’s role in shaping India’s digital future.”

At the end of last year, the company announced plans to invest $2 billion over the next six years in expanding across Asia and the Middle East.

The company already has two data centers in Hyderabad - DC1 and DC2. The DC1 facility offers an IT capacity of 4MW across 1,152 racks, and DC2 7.4MW of IT capacity across 720 racks. Together, the facilities span more than 270,000 sq ft (25,000 sqm).

CtrlS Datacenters also operates facilities in Mumbai, Bangalore, Noida, and Kolkata, with Edge locations in Lucknow and Patna.

Earlier this year, CtrlS announced it had broken ground on its 72MW Chennai facility.

The company has more than 234MW of existing IT capacity and has planned developments in Uttarakhand and Gujarat, India. The company is also working on a 150MW campus in Thailand.

STT, Tata Communications, and Iron Mountain all have data center facilities in the Hyderabad area.
