US data center firm Corscale has topped out its second facility at its Gainesville Crossing campus in Virginia’s Prince William County.
Announced in a LinkedIn post, the company said: “We are pleased to announce that we have completed the structural topping out of the 72MW second building at the Gainesville Crossing Campus in Northern Virginia.”
Construction for the two-story facility began in March this year. At the time, the company said it would span 288,000 sq ft (26,700 sqm).
Corscale broke ground on its first building on the campus in February 2022. It was expected to come online in Q4 2022, but an update earlier this year said the building was nearing completion. At present, the first facility is yet to launch.
The total campus is set to comprise five two-story facilities, offering 326MW of utility power.
HITT is the main contractor on the project.
Founded by real estate developer Patrinely Group, the company says on its website that it has developed more than 120 data centers in the past decade.
Corscale is currently planning a 140MW campus in Iver, UK, and has plans for a second Virginia facility in Loudoun County.
