Cooler Master has launched a new Coolant Distribution Unit (CDU) for liquid-cooled data center environments, moving it further into the data center cooling space.
The company, which historically has served the PC gaming community, recently announced a new 2.5MW liquid-to-liquid in-row CDU.
Delivering up to 2.5MW of cooling capacity at 990 GPM with a 4-5°C approach temperature difference, the company said the system enables operators to “support larger AI clusters, higher rack densities, and future infrastructure growth without compromising reliability.”
The dual-system architecture, load balancing, and centralized management can support up to 32 interconnected CDUs, scaling to 80MW. Each unit requires 40kW to operate.
Mass production is targeted for Q4 2026.
The CDU is part of Cooler Master’s range of cooling solutions for AI infrastructure, including cold plates, manifolds, and filling and commissioning tools.
The company offers liquid-to-liquid CDUs starting from 150 kW, with in-rack and in-row configurations.
The firm is also working on liquid-to-air systems to help operators host liquid-cooled servers within existing air-cooled environments. Cooler Master’s 300kW Air-Assisted Liquid Cooling (AALC) CDU is already in production, while the 30kW in-rack liquid-to-air model is targeted for production in Q4 2026.
Founded in 1992, Taiwan-based Cooler Master is traditionally focused on cooling and power equipment for consumer personal computing.
The company announced it was expanding further into the data center space over the summer, with a focus on Nvidia’s MGX modular reference design architecture.
The company said it is also working on two-phase cooling offerings.
