Neocloud Bitdeer AI has entered into a 10-year data center services agreement in Malaysia.
The company will lease the A901 data center in Malaysia, a 67MW campus in Malaysia. The exact location and operator of the data center have not been provided.
A901 will be Bitdeer's third location in Malaysia, joining its data centers in Cyberjaya and Johor, and bringing its global contracted capacity across Malaysia, Norway, and the US to 273.5MW, 78 percent of its goal of 350MW by Q1 2028.
Capacity at A901 is expected to start being delivered in Q1 of 2027, completing in Q2. The site will be engineered for liquid-cooled Nvidia GB300 NVL72 systems.
“Demand for liquid-cooled, rack-scale AI capacity in Southeast Asia is running ahead of what the market can deliver, and customers are asking for it earlier and in larger blocks,” said Michael G. Potter, chief financial officer of Bitdeer Technologies Group. “A901 adds 67MW in a third Malaysian location, which widens the set of sites and delivery dates we can put in front of a customer."
The lease comes just weeks after Bitdeer AI signed another agreement for A202, a 65.1MW data center facility in Johor Bahru.
Bitdeer started as a cryptominer, but it has increasingly pivoted to data centers and cloud services. The firm is repurposing mining facilities in Washington, Tennessee, and Norway into AI hosting.
The company also recently signed a non-binding letter of intent to develop an AI data center in Bhutan's Gelephu Mindfulness City, targeting an initial 30MW of renewable hydro/solar-powered capacity with a potential expansion pathway to 500MW.
