Edged was founded by Koch and Aligned founder Jakob Carnemark. Koch Real Estate Investments has been soliciting bids for Edged that could value the company at around $15 billion.

While Edged US was founded by Carnemark, it is distinct from his Endeavour company and its affiliated businesses, including Edged Energy, ThermalWorks, and others.

In the US, Edged has data centers either operating or in development across Missouri, Arizona, Texas, Georgia, Iowa, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Illinois. It also has a small project planned in Alabama.

Founded in 1940, Koch Inc. is a US-based multinational conglomerate. Owned by the billionaire Koch family, it is one of the largest privately held companies in the US and globally.

Bain owns EMEA-focused data center firm Hscale and US-focused operator DC Blox. In Asia, it previously owned ChinData and currently owns Bridge DC.

DC Blox has data centers in operation and development across Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Indiana, Tennessee, and Georgia, and has cable landing stations in South Carolina and Florida. It also provides dark fiber services between South Carolina and Georgia.
