Axelera AI has started shipping its Europa chip and announced the expansion of its partner ecosystem to include Dell and Supermicro.

The Edge AI chip startup said that its Axelera Edge 232p offering is now available in fully validated Dell XE5 and Supermicro 111AD servers, with the two companies joining Advantech, Axiomtek, HPE, Lenovo, and Seco as Axelera partners.

Based on the company’s Europa chip architecture, the Axelera Edge 232p name reflects the updated naming framework the company announced last month.

Axelera AI first unveiled its Europa chip in October 2025. Designed to support high-performance Edge computing use cases, including generative AI and computer vision applications, the AI processor unit (AIPU) delivers up to 629 TOPS at INT8 precision, setting a new industry benchmark for performance, the company claimed.

“AI is an imperative at most companies, but ensuring that an enterprise can get the highest return from the infrastructure while controlling their data is imperative,” said Fabrizio Del Maffeo, CEO and co-founder of Axelera AI. “We built our architecture around some of the hardest constraints in computing: power, energy, cost and the need to process data locally. Europa applies those same principles, expanding from physical to enterprise AI, giving organizations the performance they need for increasingly sophisticated workloads while keeping control of their data, infrastructure and economics.”

Launched in 2021, Axelera AI develops AI processing units (AIPUs) that allow AI software to be run at the network Edge, as opposed to inside data centers. Built on RISC-V and D-IMC architecture to provide faster data processing and retrieval, the company says that by deploying its technology at the Edge, it speeds up both AI inference and interactions.

Since its founding, the company has raised $450 million in capital from investors including BlackRock, Bitfury, the European Investment Council Fund, and the Samsung Catalyst Fund. Axelera says it has a sales pipeline that exceeds $1.5 billion and has more than 600 customer deployments globally.
