APAC data center firm Princeton Digital Group (PDG) has secured more than $1 billion in new financing to fund its build-out in Malaysia.
The company this week announced that it has secured approximately $1.3 billion (~RM 5.1 billion) in green financing for its JH1 campus in Johor, Malaysia. Proceeds will be used to finance the continued development and expansion of the campus.
Structured under PDG’s Green Finance Framework, the financing will support the development of JH1 in accordance with green building standards.
“This financing reflects the confidence of our banking partners, several of whom have supported JH1 since its earliest phases, in PDG's execution capabilities and deep hyperscaler partnerships,” said Rangu Salgame, chairman and CEO and co-founder of PDG.
The financing is underwritten by six banks: Affin Bank, HSBC, Maybank, OCBC, Standard Chartered, and UOB.
Located in Sedenak Tech Park, JH1 is a 200MW campus designed to support high-density AI and cloud workloads. The first 52MW phase of the campus was completed last year in July 2025. The company topped out the third building in late 2025.
PDG was founded in 2017 and has data centers in operation or development across China, Singapore, India, South Korea, Malaysia, and Japan. The company says its portfolio totals 1.8GW.
Private equity firm Warburg Pincus is PDG’s largest shareholder. The company is also backed by the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, the UAE’s Mubadala, and Stonepeak.
The new financing builds on previous financing secured for earlier phases of the JH1 campus, which was first secured from three banks in April 2024, and subsequently upsized with four banks in October 2025.
