Sovereign AI infrastructure provider Aleria is expanding its compute capacity with Nvidia Blackwell and Vera Rubin deployments.

The company will bring 8,640 Nvidia Grace Blackwell Ultra GPUs to the US, eventually planning to expand to 16,000, and will also deploy 28 racks of the Nvidia DGX Vera Rubin NVL72 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

According to Aleria, the Vera Rubin deployment will be one of the first in the region.

The company will use DDN's high-performance storage architecture to support both deployments.

"We did not come to market with a promise. We came with working infrastructure. Our sovereign AI structure is live in the UAE, running national workloads, and the results are what is driving this expansion. Deploying Nvidia Blackwell Ultra in the United States - and DGX Vera Rubin to come in the UAE - is the next chapter of something already proven," said Eric Leandri, CEO of Aleria.

The US deployment will be housed in a 25MW data center, the location of which has not been provided; however a company called Aleria Technologies LLC signed an agreement with Bitcoin miner Bitari in April 2026 for the conversion of cryptomining data center into an AI facility in Wheeler, Texas.

Details about the UAE data center have also not been offered.

Aleria is a UAE-based company offering sovereign AI for governments and enterprises. The company says it can offer services out of its data centers, or customers can bring the solution on-prem. The company does not provide details about its existing data center footprint.

Ankur Arora, senior regional director of the Middle East and Africa at DDN, said the collaboration brings together "the performance and scale required for AI-first environments, where organizations cannot afford to compromise on security, reliability, or data sovereignty."

DDN this week also revealed that European AI cloud company Nebul had selected DDN Infinia for storage and key-value cache to help its GPUs serve AI models.

“Every time a GPU rebuilds context it has already processed, it is spending cycles repeating work,” said Alex Bouzari, CEO and co-founder at DDN. “By making that context available across Nebul’s GPU fleet, Infinia helps deliver faster inference and more productive use of GPU capacity while keeping data within the sovereign environment.”

“AI sovereignty should not come at the expense of performance,” added Arnold Juffer, CEO of Nebul. “With DDN Infinia, we can reuse model context across our GPU infrastructure instead of spending valuable GPU cycles recomputing it. That makes inference faster and more efficient while keeping the complete AI workload within the sovereign environment.”
