ABM said the acquisition of Quality Uptime will bolster its offerings in the data center space.

Connecticut-based Quality Uptime offers uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and UPS battery maintenance services for mission-critical data centers.

The companies said Quality Uptime will initially operate under its own brand. Its 130 employees will become part of ABM’s Mission Critical Solutions department within its Technical Solutions segment.

ABM’s Mission Critical Solutions department will offer critical infrastructure solutions for data centers, electrical testing, switchgear maintenance, and UPS services.

This is in addition to ABM’s current services which include microgrid design, critical cooling, and project management.

“The acquisition of Quality Uptime is expected to double ABM’s mission critical-related revenue in the first full year of ownership, driven by the surge in artificial intelligence and related investments in data center infrastructure,” said Scott Salmirs, president and CEO of ABM.

Quality Uptime’s CEO John Raio will also join the ABM team. He said: “Joining ABM represents an exciting new chapter for us. Our clients and team will benefit from ABM’s scale and expanded suite of services, as well as the combined expertise of both organizations.”

Fortune 500 company ABM said it has an annualized revenue of more than $8 billion, with operations in the US, UK, and EMEA regions. The company provides facility services, including janitorial, engineering, parking, electrical and lighting, energy, mechanical, and mission-critical solutions.
