Another data center campus is being planned around Atlanta, Georgia.
RSC Investment Management has filed a Developments of Regional Impact application with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs for a development known as the Stonewall Tell Data Center.
The project is described as a 1.9 million sq ft (176,700 sqm) data center campus located along and to the east of Stonewall Tell Road, and south of South Fulton Parkway (SR 14) in Union City, to the southwest of Atlanta.
The project is set to be completed in 2033. Further details weren’t shared.
According to BisNow, RSC Investment Management was recently set up by Stan Conway, former EVP at industrial real estate firm Majestic Realty Co. Conway, who left Majestic earlier this year, declined to comment to the publication.
Another data center is also planned nearby. July 2024 saw Burr Computer Environments file to develop a 2.1 million sq ft campus on the north side of SR14.
Atlanta is a major data center hub with operators including Microsoft, CoreSite, QTS, DataBank, Flexential, Switch, DC Blox, Edged Energy, Stack, T5, Vantage, and EdgeConneX.
