With land and power for data centers becoming scarce in key markets around the world, developers are starting to look out to sea.

Interest in underwater and floating data centers has blossomed this year, with companies pursuing projects of all shapes and sizes. Many are looking to harness the power of the ocean to energize their servers, as well as taking advantage of the free cooling on offer in deep waters.
