The debate on construction and site selection has become increasingly crucial as greater demand and locations are increasing.
On one side, modular solutions and prefabrication are heralded for their ability to improve construction timelines, reduce waste, and upgrade overall quality, addressing inflationary pressures on energy and materials. However, challenges persist in securing suitable sites, zoning regulations, and proximity to power and fiber connectivity.
Moreover, the rising demand for AI ready data centers is leading to a rethink of design. As technology rapidly evolves, can those within the MENA region afford to stick to traditional methods of construction, or should they be brave and implement revolutionary designs for the data centers of the future?
Conducted under Chatham House Rule, this DCD>Debate invites experts to dissect these pivotal industry issues.
