    Su know-how en las necesidades y requerimientos de los Data Centers se ve complementado por la formación continua en las normas, métricas, tendencias y certificaciones que acompañan al sector de las Tecnologías de la Información.

    Actualmente coordina y desarrolla a nivel global los servicios y operaciones orientados a Data Centers.

Loren earned his BS in Physics and Nuclear Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas, and MSc in Environment and Sustainability from the University of London. He lives outside London with his wife and family.

    Over the past 30 years of his career, Lex has built exceptionally strong credentials in the design of versatile, cost-effective and energy-efficient data center infrastructure. He has supervised the design and build process for more than 70 data centers and developed close to 600,000 m² of gross space with over 300,000 m² net space across Western Europe and Africa.

    In his current role as Chief Datacenter Technology and Engineering Officer at Digital Realty, Lex has pioneered several new approaches to data center design and management, including the improvement of power ratio efficiency between server load and transformer load, and the industry’s first ever modular approach to data center architecture.

    Lex is a Visiting Professor at the University of East London working on the data center challenges of Sustainability and Energy efficiency. Further, Lex is Board member of the Climate neutral datacenter Pact, Chair of the EUDCA Policy Committee where he engages with EU Policymakers, Board member of the EUDCA, Stakeholder at the EU JRC since the start in for the European Code of Conduct for datacenter efficiency and he is member of the iMasons Advisory Council where he helped developing the Climate Accord/ Carbon Tracker with Maturity model.

    Lex received the Personal Judges Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Data Center industry in 2010 by Broadgroup, 2016 by DCD, and again 2021 by Data Centre Dynamics.

Pioneer in the implementation of the Business of Neutral Data Centers in Spain and Portugal, back in 2001 and for 16 years he was the Director of the main Data Center company in the Iberian Peninsula, Itconic (former Telvent).

    Stoneshield Investment Fund appointed Santiago as CEO in April 2021. In October 2022, Stoneshield reached a sales agreement with Iron Mountain and its Data Centers Division for the acquisition of 100% of XDATA Properties where Santiago serves as Data Center Country Manager .

    Santiago is member of The Green Grid and the European Code of Conduit, Promoter of the first TierIV Certification of a Neutral Data Center in Spain carried out by Uptime Institute, as well as the first M&O certification also by Uptime. Last but not least Santiago is a member of the Data Center Association in Spain (SpainDC).

    Nacho Velilla lleva más de veinticinco años dedicado a la transformación digital en el sector de los data centers. Ocupa el puesto de CEO en Templus desde la creación de la compañía, en mayo de 2024. Previamente, y desde 2022, desempeñó el rol de VP Global de Servicios Gestionados en Equinix, tras haber sido director general de Equinix España desde 2018. En su currículum también destaca su papel como cofundador de Spain DC, la Asociación Española de Data Centers, de la que ejerció su presidencia entre 2021 y 2023.

    Siempre vinculado al mundo de la tecnología, con el paso de los años ha ido orientando su carrera hacia los servicios digitales, con el foco en la interconexión, el fomento y el acceso a la nube y el tratamiento de datos. Su bagaje multidisciplinar, que incluye responsabilidades previas en los departamentos de operaciones o comercial, entre otros, le aporta una visión integral para afrontar los retos a los que se enfrenta el sector.

    Ingeniero de Telecomunicaciones por la Universidad de Alcalá y Executive MBA por la IE Business School, Nacho Velilla ha cursado el programa de la Escuela de Consejeros de IESE, y posee otro título de Project Manager Professional por ESI International. Asimismo, su pasión por la tecnología le ha llevado a involucrarse como asesor con start-ups de temáticas tan diversas como el boat sharing o los e-sports.
