Undoubtedly, the pervasiveness of IoT, 5G delivering record network speeds and global data creation set to grow to more than 180 zettabytes by 2025 will necessitate edge compute however the location of data processing is still to be decided as enterprises decide whether latency-sensitive workloads are better housed in the cloud, on-premise or outsourced to a colocation facility?
So, what shape will the future of the enterprise edge take? Will distributed computing convert into a purpose-build edge data center, rely on a ‘hyperconverged’ edge infrastructure platform, sit in an age-old server room located in a hospital or banking branch - or all of the above?
We ask the panel to outline how the enterprise edge is likely to evolve and you can also put questions to our panellists during the LIVE broadcast to make sure you get your key questions answered.
