A vacant data center is up for sale in Chicago, Illinois.
Via LoopNet, real estate firm Site Selection Group is listing 31 N Wolf Road in Wheeling as up for sale. The listing price is $195,000.
Built in 1989 and sat on more than a quarter of an acre, the 3,720 sq ft (345 sqm), single-story property is described as a former Windstream data center.
Specifications of the property weren’t shared. The broker describes the vacant unit as a “conversion opportunity” for retail, medical, or office uses.
According to an Illinois government listing, Internet services provider Windstream acquired the site in 2008 from Mcg Communications Inc. It is unclear when Windstream exited the facility.
Wheeling is a village in Cook and Lake counties, to the north of Chicago.
